TAP is a book of images of paintings by Joe Hanly with accompanying text by Aidan Dunne. This book was published in conjunction with TBG+S and the Dublin Art Book Fair 2021 to coincide with his exhibition of the same name in March 2022 at the Complex, Dublin.

Joe Hanly is a Painter, Printmaker and occasional 3D artist living in Dublin. Graduated N.C.A.D 1977 and MFA NCAD 2001. He has exhibited extensively throughout Ireland since early 1980s with solo exhibitions in such venues as Project Arts Centre, Limerick City Gallery, RHA Gallagher Gallery, Butler Gallery, Kilkenny, Model Arts, Sligo and TBG+S and his work is included in many private and public collections. He lectured in Fine Art, at  DIT from 1984 until retirement in 2014 and at IADT from 1981 to '84. Recent exhibitions, include TREE, an inverted tree hanging down through the atrium of Temple Bar Gallery and Studios, in 2018 and the curation of and participation in DISRUPTORS an exhibition with nine other artists around another iteration of the inverted tree at the Highlanes Gallery, Drogheda in May 2019. Joe is currently working towards an exhibition “TAP”, the same title as book to accompany it, at the Complex, Dublin in March 2022.
